    Weight stand with bar holders

I had some old rusty pipe outside, some leftover half rusted 2x2 square tubing and galvanized electrical pipe (for the two bar holders).

Weights need to hang out with their friends instead of on the floor

Mixture of stick (6011) and tig welding.

I put the feet adjusters on plates to keep them from collapsing the tube end.
If the 1/2" nuts look a little thin it's because I popped them in the lathe to turn a centering lip on them.

How I laid it out for measuring.
I was just making sure they would fit good with pipes at same height and not smash my fingers.

I don't know Dave. Curling 16oz at a time looks easier than moving those things. I don't drink but that's what I'm told of how men exercise around here.

    Project looks great.

    Dave,

Looks like a pro made those welds. Are you sure you're a hobbyist?

Thanks The weights do look heavy, but at least they don't require refrigeration

Thanks - Technically I'm shooting for part-time semi-pro right about the time I retire and graduate to hobbyist.

Thank you and if the measurements help, you're welcome to it.

After I drew that I changed the lower pipes to 10"

I've seen some that use pipe the same size as the hole, but I figured a little smaller makes it easier to load - plus that's what was leaning against the wall outside
