Re: Chop a SA 200
If you swap the engine for one of them Horrible Fright engines and change the generator to a inverter and use light leads you can get it small enough to fit in a Japanese convertible car.
One of the MessFit geniuses can help you with the electronics and it'll be able to burn 1/16 rods.
Add a thread spool from a sewing machine and call it a gas drive MIG.

Re: Chop a SA 200
5" is doable with the original fuel tank and would require a custom radiator or sacrificing the battery box.
Have seen 8" chops but they require a custom fuel tank in addition to a radiator and/or relocated battery.
This was a 5" chop with $500 custom radiator:

Owner started the project and I finished it.

Re: Chop a SA 200
Is a sweet running machine and owner sold it earlier this year as he now has an SAE300 Perkins and Miller Trailblazer Pro 350 with Kubota D905 I brought back from the dead last year. Just sent the 300 home the other day after addressing a few things on it for him.
Before . . .

. . . after . . .

Dodged the 16+" of Harvey water I had in the shop as she was up on jack stands.

I've never seen a better example of the results that are possible when a job done by someone who takes pride in what they do and is proud of the equipment they are repairing.

Re: Chop a SA 200
Can you show me how you did the gas tank? I’m having trouble with mine

Re: Chop a SA 200
The machine owner did most of the tank mounting and I just added a couple finishing touches.
