    MID 50's Craftsman torch

Does anyone know who made torches for Craftsman in th 50', I have an pld torch that is still going strong , would like to try to find some cutting tips for it. My earliest memories of it are about 1959 or 60 when my dad bought it from my uncle.

I had an old Craftsman set and it was made by Harris, I would take it to your local welding supply and let them size it up.

I would say Harris also. I have a craftsman torch and gages that I purchased from a guy I used to work with back in the 75 and it is a harris . Its still going strong, never had any problems with it.The only thing I have ever had to do to it is replace the O ring where the cutting torch tip seals to the torch body and I have only replaced it once.

Way cool guys, I was thinking Harris, the valves on the torch body got extremely hard to turn, so hard I had to use water pump pliers to work them some, I put a little non hydrocarbon lube on them and freed them up some, I want to try to find some other cutting tip, It's a full set with 1-5 welding tips and the cutting attachment & #3 tip I think. I really like the size & weight to the torch body compared to the Victors I've used in the past, even the journeyman series. Thanks for the input. HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

    Caveman:

Look at the regulators and find a Craftsman model number. It should be a 3 digit prefix followed by a 5 digit model number.

The 3 digit number is the “Vendor Code”. Look up the vendor here:
