Vise mount for receiver hitch

Nice prerunner sapperb! Love the small table addition to your hitch vise too, ultra handy i bet. ifallswelder that table looks perfect for a smaller shop, overbuilt just enough (looks like it could hold a bulldozer!) and that orange looks really sharp on all your accessories. Would you happen to remember the brand/color of paint you used?

I think you need more baseplate, Zap, lol. "I got a fever, and the only prescription is more baseplate!" looks good. I took some advice from an earlier post and made an adjustable riser adapter/extension so i can have the tailgate down.
The tailgate makes an excellent field table with a piece of disposable plywood on top, just don't get too ambitious with your weight as the cables aren't very beefy. Speaking of wood on a welding website, I've found carrying a few lengths of 2x4 (usually about 6 feet each) and pieces of 3/4+ plywood (usually about 4'x4') comes in incredibly handy for a variety of things when working on location. Can't tell you how many times a quick and dirty wood brace/jig has been my second set of hands for holding things in place. Also wood pieces are great for consistent/repetitive spacing on wraught iron type gate/fence work.
