Cast aluminum welder needed in New Jersey

I’m working with a cast aluminum oil pan from a mid 90’s Nissan in-line 6 and need a welder proficient in cast aluminum. The scope of work is basically welding an extension off the bottom the pan to increase the capacity. I’ll machine the pan on the mill, construct the extension (tacked together) and will need it welded on. Cast aluminum has been a problem for me in the past, so I need an pro for this. It is a part that will get a lot of eye traffic, so appearance is a consideration. I have other aluminum weld projects as well, all custom motorsports stuff. Please message me if interested. Thank you

Good luck on your search - should be someone near you.

If you were in MN, I would.

...your oil pan gets a lot of eye traffic? You should probably keep the rubber side down

Thank you, would totally ship the pan, but it really needs to be welded bolted to the block, as it warps bad. Hard item to resurface too. Thank you for contacting though

Haha. The build it well documented, and gets some social media attention. Every component is built to be seen, even the places where nobody but a rescue team should see. Haha

There is always the possibility of drilling and tapping a nice flat plate to bolt it to to prevent warpage. If you do end up needing to send it off.
