    Plasma cutting table

Got tired of using saw horses for a plasma cutting table. So I had a old futon frame out back along with some other metal and this is what I came up with. Its only 28" high but it works out very well for what I need it for. The top is half of a piece of grating I had. Its not fasten down so I can just lift it off to move the table were ever I need it and change it when it gets all cut up.

Galvanized steel grating? You wearing a resperator when cutting on that ? Nice portable table btw.

Nice job on the table! This is what I do (whenever possible) to prolong the life of the sacrificial slats on mine.

Thanks guys, use what you got no need to pay for metal you already have laying around to burn up. Yea galvanized grating I know, it was what I had and it will be used out doors. I'm not laying over it like welding.

Yes that is a good idea, Lis

If you look at picture #2 you will see some 2 1/2" x 48" heavy wall square tub I was going to build it out of then decided to save it for a paying job.

Yeah you did good saving the expensive materials for paying jobs. I grab weight benches anytime I see one for free. Decent square tube for little projects like this.

    Re: Plasma cutting table

I just bent up some scrap 16 ga sheet and welded the corners for holding water and tacked some 1/8 x 2" for a slat setup. I'll flip it over for another month, toss it in the scrap and tack another rack together
