They all want to do their own thing. With that many tons in the air that's not good.

what work great for cutting guides are these 18 inch tool holder magnets from HF at 5 bucks a piece you cant beat them, for longer cuts you can put steel angle iron next to them and they usually hold it in place..

I cut some rebar today needed some short pieces to lock down a cherne plug that gets blown out from too much head pressure when we get a big downpour!

Used my trusty milwaukee 5-3/8 cordless metal cutter with the 30 tooth cermet blade on it.

Also cut the exposed expansion joint from the 8x8 curb we did yesterday, used a 6x4 trowel to score the sides then just palmed em' over

So when you do concrete curbs and side walls do you shape the top outside edges with the settings in place? Never done any real concrete work. I have a couple concrete trowels. One is a center bladed one I think its for scoring divided sections and another that is flat with an outside edge that has a small radius probably for rounding off the outside edges. Never used them or seen then used before.

I cut some zip ties with a knipex side cutter. Cut off a few rusted bolts with a Harris torch. Cut a few bolts with a cutoff wheel. Sorry no pictures. Also used the DeWalt utility knife to cut open a couple Amazon envelopes.

I always get the top faces pretty much done before I strip the forms(settings) some guys I know just get em' trowled and then finish all at once whether it be smooth/brush/etch or whatever.

The tools you have sound like flatwork trowels, the groover is kinda like a cutter but a lot shallower and does not really do a cut for crack control... the little guy with the curved edge is just an edger basically what I used for the top of these curbs.

Well that is some nice cheese though. You ever been to the Tillamook factory?

Yes the groover and edger are the two trowels I have. The picture helped identify them.
