Was at the landfill the other day and had to drag this home.
Needs a power cable, leads, power switch and cooling fan motor.
Just did a fast search for the Colling fan motor and power switch. I think purchasing the parts I need to get this running will cost me more than what the machine is worth?

good you saved it even if it doesnt work you can paint it up and keep in your garage for a conversation piece. bypass the switch to see if it works.

I had a Hobart with similar output values except 60% duty cycle. It was in perfect condition. At $100.00 I advertised it, made sure word got around. There was 0 interest except one question "Will it MIG weld?"
I ended up scrapping it. Removing the copper was more work than the copper was worth.

It does work. I got the cooling fan freed up by spraying the bushings multiple times and rolling the fan over. The fan is working as of now. The unit does power up and strike an arc. I have a disconnect switch in my 220v power plug in my shop which is nice since the switch on the welder is bypassed. It will need a new switch though before I gift it to a family member.

It’s such a shame scrap metals are hardly worth the effort and or cost of fuel to turn them in.
Lincoln, ESAB, Thermal Dynamics, Victor, Miller, Dewalt, Makita, Kalamzoo. Hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting tools.
