I don't know much about it. Why are you using .030"?

What's wrong with 030 diameter solid MIG wire? Plenty useful.

Really good wire in my machines.. .030/.035 Older HF wire was INE, and my Lincoln Powerwave 300C ran the best on it.. Yes, better then any Lincoln solid wire..

Works good in all of my machines. Granted I’m not dialing the machines into perfect spatter free welding conditions but never the less nary any problems using it. BrandX turned me onto this wire a couple of years ago.

I been using this in my little Esab.. Got it for $16.46 Surprised just how good the wet out is running co2 gas. The Caddymig 160i is a super nice CO2 unit too.. Most China wire I want to throw in the dumpster, but not this roll..

    Re: Anyone use this wire?

Always heard good things about INE made in italy wire, though I can't speak from experience. Great deal though.

INE was very common in days past, seems less so now and I've also heard the old made in italy harbor freight wire was from INE and was one of their gems.

Other than the usual lincoln solid and harris self shielded flux I've been running harbor freight made in china vulcan wire and it has been running pretty smooth, must say. I think the arc on the lincoln is a little smoother but it could just be in my head.

Many of the small migs like the old Miller 211 are awesome with .030. Many members have them and end result is .030 is perfect.
It's like using 3/32 Lo hi instead of 1/8" .
Better control and smaller puddle. Depends what you like.
That wire isn't bad cost wise. I use the Lincoln L -56 super arc 12 pound spools. I have plenty in stock that I purchased from Zoro tool. I loaded up when they had a flash 30% off sale. It came out to $28.00 for 12 pounds and free shipping. Current price is $40 to $50.

    Re: Anyone use this wire?

A lot of smaller machines 215 amps and below ship new with 2lb sample spools of .030 wire. The Rebels ship with some variant of ESAB 2lb sample .030 Spoolarc wire. It seemed to run good but I’m a beginner at mig welding with limited experiance so I really wouldn’t know what to look for when using different wire types. To me when the wire melts it’s doing it’s job.

    Yes,
many 200 amp and below migs, run the very best on .030 wire.. It get you close to .023 on sheet-metal and about all you can use on top. Perfect wire for many machines, and overall welding.

I've been using this wire on.035 in my old Tweco Fabricator 211, Vulcan 215, and Fronius Transteel 2200 and it's been great on both CO2 and C25.
