    Welding cable recommendation

I bought this SA 200black face/green light, it came with about 80' for ground and 160 in two sections of 2/ cable. Seems like over kill and that is hard to roll up. But if I were keeping it at 100' for ground and stinger, what is good 1/ or #1?
It seemed like a good idea at the time!

1/0 should do everything you need to do. That's what I run in 50' sections with Tweco connectors and a 15' #2 whip for the stinger. I've used this at 195 amps at probably an 80% duty cycle welding pipe off my 302 Trailblazers.

I was thinking the same. On my old 301 TB I had the same leads as you. Now on my Big Blue 400D I run 2/0 at 50'.

#1 will do 250 amps at 250 combined length. In the last 15 years mst of my field welding is 100-150 amps. I dont do any arc gouging or electrodes bigger than 5/32. Even running my feeder my TB251 is rarely turned up more than half way. I generally run .035-.045 wire.
