I live in SE Az near the mountains. Started welding with my fathers acetylene rig when I was in high school. I am a hobby welder mostly restoring old cars and motorcycles. my background is aircraft mechanic and then IE after going to school at nights. I am retired now. I have Lincoln 180 with a rectifier, Lincoln 250 Idealarc, Miller 211 mig, and a Victor acetylene. My future welding projects include a welding table and a vise stand. I joined to see what ideas other people have and to learn from other welders.

Welcome paul! I used to live & work in New Mexico, right across the border a few miles in a little town named Playas, just off of New Mexico hiway 9, perhaps you've heard of it.

Welcome, Paul. I am a hobby welder, too. I have an old Lincoln stick welder that has been at my sister's place for years. I loaned it to my brother-in-law. I don't have a decent shop, so am just messing around with OA, brazing and light welding just to see if I can still remember how. I think it would be cool to create some of the scrap art type projects, but my creativity is pretty limited .

Enjoy your hobby and the forum!
