Amazing close up slow-mo of flux core welding

Says they used a laser light, but still, pretty amazing they can get that close and that clear a view.

Would this be considered globular transfer?

With the speed reduction and magnification it's really hard to say what's going on there for sure,, but assuming (cringe) that they are using a self shielded flux core like T-11 or a T-G or -GS then it should be running in a 'spray like' mode. Beyond globular, approaching spray, hence the spray like phrase.
As a side note, if they were using a self shielded flux core they probably shouldn't have been demonstrating in a push unless that was for demo purposes only.

Ooooh, here's a better one in color (same producer of the one above). You can see the blue arc and how it causes splashing and ripples on the weld puddle, it also has a "super macro" view about half through. Now I really want to know how this done (I dabble in photography, so I find this interesting on that level as well):

Actually, I've been watching them for a long time. I just never saw the slow motion ones like that before! :-)
