Both Lotos and Primeweld seem to get good reviews, with Primeweld providing excellent customer service - Lotus customer service is not reviewed nearly so well. When prices are similar for what is essentially the same machine the choice is obvious.
However, the Cut60D machines have vastly different prices. The Primeweld Cut60D is $650 shipped (Amazon) while the Lotos Cut60D is $498 shipped (eBay). They each have the same features and like other imported plasma cutters I assume the internals to be the same.
The Lotos claims to include an Italian made Trafimet ERGOCUT S65 torch - that torch alone sells for more than $300. So that is very suspicious. If Lotos is including a fake Chinese torch that they are advertising as made in Italy then that makes my decision easy.
Can anyone comment on the quality of the torches that these machines come with? Maybe the Lotos really does include a genuine Italian torch (maybe they were rejects?), maybe the Primeweld torch is better... I have no idea.
The real question is, is it worth the extra $150 to buy the Primeweld Cut60D over the Lotos Supreme Cut60D, if so, why?
