Ooh. Good idea. Give it a little spin to get to “Miller Time” quicker.

No... No... you're doing it wrong!!!!! You're supposed to have a scantily clad babe sitting on it.... not one of PSA's art pieces...

PSA gets the babes trolling the art galleries. I get drops behind the shear.

That came out nice. Being able to work on any side, without moving the piece, or yerself……….golden.

    Awesome work as always.

So is the idea to use it as a manual rotator for welding? and the linear track in a smilar fashion?

Really nice work Terry. Is is just a sculpture or functional art? Make sure you post more pics when it is complete. Assuming it not.

Thanks Sam and Munkul ! Yes, a rotating positioner of sorts is the plan but I’m certain other uses for it will come up in the future.

Pat I was inspired by Bob , Steve , Vaughn, you and others and decided to roll up a couple of 10 gauge strips.

To be able to pass for a sculpture would make me happy. I will see how it goes....

Looks like it would be, relatively, easy to add a small motor drive to provide rotation. Have you considered adding a small 12 VDC motor with speed control? A friction drive roller should do the trick, nicely.

I’ve considered that. It might come in handy at times as long as I could disengage the drive easily for free wheeling.

I have a small motor that was for an ice crusher in a refrigerator. It turns slow and has a lot of torque. It would be great for this.
In regards to egaging and disengaging to free wheel. Think of a fitting for a hydraulic pump. That three tooth thing could be screwed to the bottom if the turntable shaft.
The motor could be on an arm that lifts up to engage and drops down a few inches to disconnect

Thanks for the good idea, Pat! I never use the ice crusher on my fridge so I already have the motor!

I think clamps from a mill table (low profile) would work better then those things sticking up in the way.

No access for nuts on the underside for most of the holes. Holes would need to be tapped.
