Hypertherm Powermax 45 (not XP)
Just lately my machine continues to allow airflow for quite a long time after cutting. It will eventually shut off, but a lot longer than normal. If I trigger it again it will shut off. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Re: Hypertherm Powermax 45 (not XP)
The Powermax45 has an (approximately) 20 second postflow cooling after every trigger switch cycle. If you trigger the switch on/off quickly while the torch is postflowing….it will stop the air flow. This is normal. If the postflow is staying on for much longer than 20 seconds, then the solenoid may be sticking (dirt or oil in the compressed air). This postflow is controlled digitally and there is no adjustment, and it is necessary to keep the torch and consumables cooled. Jim Colt
