Need recommendations for Landscape trailer hinge

I am repairing a landscape trailer and building a new drive on ramp.

I need your recommendations for a pair of weld-on hinges. Please include source and link if possible.

This is not a heavy duty trailer so only need capacity for riding mower or 4-wheeler.

or make em your self, use some 1/2 iron pipe and some 3/4 iron pipe, just cut pieces of 3/4 inch however long you want and use the 1/2 pipe as the pin on the inside, you can tape the pipe for zerk fittings to grease the hinge..

You can get a piece of DOM, cut it to size for the 3 components of each hinge.

Put an appropriate piece of cold roll in the chuck (gotta be 4 jaw), make sure ya got minimal stickout, center it……...drill a nice center. Pull the cold roll out to full length, re center the piece,, and shove the tailstock into the end. Turn to size. Make sure ya ain't gotta taper.

Then take yer carefully made stuff, and weld it up. Making sure it's all lined up on all axis...………. Correct distortion by flame straightening to within a few thou.

And when yer done...………..ya got about 7hrs in somethin' ya coulda done in 30 minutes But it won't be quite as elegant as it could be

And...……..for the PEYE-AZE-DEE-REESTANCE...….don't just drill a hole for a grease zerk in the center piece of DOM. Oh no End drill that pin for a full center grease gallery that feeds grease exact center.

You are now a full on, no holds barred, bonifide, fiddle****er

If ya wanna ascend to Heaven, carried by two wing-ed angels...………..****can the 1018 pin, and use Niagara fatigue proof (with mill certs).

Then, when ya bend that ****ty expanded metal ramp to something resembling a pretzel...……..least ya know the hinges are intact

Well to conclude the thread, I went to a local trailer dealer and they had several gate hinges. Some were too light and some really heavy duty ones! I bought a nice set with zerks and welding pad for $20.

BTW, if you are building regular gates your local trailer dealer/repair shop may have just what you need.

I get all my hinge stuff from these guys. Hard to beat them and they are local to me. All heavy-duty stuff.

Most landscape trailer I seen just cut up 3" X 1/2" pipes and 1/2” hot roll for Hing pin full link of opening.
