Low cost Welder

Here is a low cost flux core welder that runs on 240 volt. So breaker does not flip. Looks great for starting in welding.

Note: most home have dryer or range on 240v

I love the description that says "no gas mig welder". I guess they don't know the difference between a mig welder and a wire feed welder.

You are absolutely correct. But in all fairness to the seller who wrote the ad who may or not know the difference his target market for that unit DOES NOT know the diff. They recognize the term MIG and think “cool I don’t have to buy gas”.

The seller may be an advertising genius but more likely clueless like you mentioned. JMO

You hobbyists are always showing off. . Us retired farmers have to use vintage feeders for flux core.



And our engine drives are still gassers

Nah, your good. Funny story though, the other day I ran into a guy that used to contract for me that ran nothing but SA200s. He had a big Blue thing on his truck (250D with a Deutz engine)He gave me a funny grin and said he loved it. And this is a guy that literally wore out his last two SAs.

One issue with some cheap welders and this being one per the owners manual is the wire is hot as soon as you power it up and the trigger only controls the wire feed. Be carful where you lay the gun down.

Where does a guy in the US get 50 hz power from.

It is 230 volt 50hz input. We have 240 volt 60 hz.

It better to up hz
60 hz takes less copper than 50 hz.

On 60hz will give a better welded
