Looks like you got the last MIG-205DS. Searching Amazon on MIG-205DS now goes to the ARC-205DS (stick) and clicking your link goes to the TIG-205DS which is "currently unavailable".

Can't find MIG-205DS anywhere on Amazon, as retail or Warehouse.

None found on Ebay either.

Try ordering directly from Yeswelder's website. It's on back-order so you may wind up waiting a while for it to ship. There are coupons out there for 15% off, try YESFAM15.

That does look like a better machine, but oddly there is no manual on the site for it, where there is for the 205ds.

Looks like a better display and more adjustments as well as more power at the expense of not having 120v operation, which I am not sure why anyone would use 120v unless they just didn't have 240v. The thing with the 120v circuit is that it needs a lot of amps, which is not commonly available on 120v circuits in most homes, so most welders tend to pop the breakers. I'm not in the market for a welder, but they sure are cheap. They seem to have a niche carved into multi-process machines, the 250 tig ac/dc seems mediocre in comparison with the Primeweld 225. Slighly more amps, slightly less price, but no CK Worldwide torch.

I looked at the MIG 250 and it is a more capable unit. But I wanted the versatility of a dual voltage welder for around the house. Sometimes I have small jobs that aren't practical to bring down to my shop and didn't want to haul my generator up to where I need to weld.

I asked Yeswelder if the MIG 250 could use 120v and they said no. But it may not be officially supported. I would have bought it instead if it could use 120v.

Just tried it'll be lot less powerful prob below 3/16 inch material but it runs with adapter on 120

I doubt it. I don't think 120v is officially supported. Just like aluminum welding (although I don't know if this will work yet). I'd probably have to pay shipping at the very least. I'll just be happy with what I have.

The MIG-250Pro is capable of MIG welding aluminum. I was referring to the MIG-205DS. They say it isn't capable of welding aluminum. But I'm hoping that is because they don't have a synergic setting for aluminum and that I can find some settings that will work. The dual voltage was more important to me than the ability to weld aluminum.

The 205DS comes with an adapter but it's not what you expect. The plug on the unit is a standard 120v plug and you can plug it directly into a 120v outlet. The adapter plugs into a 240v outlet and adapts it so you can plug a 120v cord into it. Sort of scary but an advantage is you can use standard extension cords (as long as you use some common sense).

Getting hard to tell where some of this stuff comes from, especially on Amazon, some vendors are drop shipping from China now as well...

I don't see how getting any type of welding supplies from China is gonna play out well in the current situation. I ordered a tig torch head off Amazon, after the order was done it told me it would arrive Aug.-Sept. Vendor won't reply to questions, no tracking info provided, but says it shipped. Sold by Vaorwne but company is HN Direct. Yeah, it was cheap, but who cares if it takes 2 months to get to me?

I have ordered from ebay stuff out of china, a 3/4X12 tap fitting a dremel collar and a couple hard to find toyota parts.. I haven't been taken yet and the shipping was about 2 weeks for all as I recall... but... that may have been luck... anyway... I've searched for a .8mm knurled 30X10X10 drive roller and came up empty. I'm surprised though because yeswelder has become fairly popular, i can't be all alone in the world wanting .8mm to drive .030 flux core. I think people are using the .9mm that came with it, and which it looks like i'm gonna be doing, but I kinda expected someone to comment with the same problem I have...

Like most things from china... Don't be surprised if a .9 is actually a.8... when the Chinese copy things they introduce all sorts of oddities... Flipped sides, inverted measurements, wrong threadings...etc... And to top it all off they could have a hundred different families/factories making the same item... Or what they call the same item as a designer and manufacturer that has had stuff ripped by the Chinese I have seen it first-hand many times unfortunately...

Shipping from China seems random now, with fewer planes flying the route.

I just requested, and got, an Ebay refund for a flashlight ordered May 14.The expected delivery window ended June 24. According to its tracking # it was handed to an airline in Singapore on May 23.

Assuming it exists at all it hadn't moved since.
