Getting my small trailer back in shape to haul a Golf cart my wife bought. May be buying a metal lathe to.
Ordered new tires, need to replace some of the 2 X 6 floor boards.

I built/converted this trailer a decade ago out of a junk boat trailer, We made due with the hitch but the PO had jack knifed it and bent the hitch which always made hitching/ unhooking the trailer a real pain.
Cut the old Hitch off and drilled holes in the neck to hold the new hitch . I used the stitch program to weld in the backing plate and nuts because there is no way to get to them once the hitch is put over the square tubing. 1736443[/ATTACH]




More work on this trailer. I lent it out last year to a friend that lives out in the boonies. Didn't notice it until I put the trailer in the garage to mount the new tires . One Fender front had hooked something and been torn where I ham handedly repaired it with TIG and rivets a few years ago.
The fenders are aluminum .

Time to give the ProPulse a shot at an Aluminum MIG repair.

Put it in the press to straighten it out a bit. Then some bending with crescent wrenches.
MIG, Flap disc Grinding, MIG, flap disc grinding.

Still Ugly, but it is better overall mounting wise.
Most of the Aluminum was around .035 thick new. Pretty happy I could get a weld without burning through everywhere. Also happy still haven't had a birds nest.
