New Multi-Process? New TIGs? New MIGs?

Everlast has quite a few new things in the works. We think they'll be revolutionary. But we've been delayed a bit in the development area by the Covid monster or a lot more would be out by now. But look for things along the way as we firm up delivery and specs, heading into the last of the year, and into 2021 early.

But in the mean time, if you have a wish list of features and products, let us hear from you.

    Just post away.

By any chance, will any of the new machines have the pulse function with electrode welding?

For TIG and MIG yes. Stick pulse is still in its infancy and not an approved type of process afik. So, not stick will not be available in pulse.

I have an MTS250S . The stick function on it IMHO is very poor. It does ok with DC Tig . Are you guys going to put out a 250 amp class mig that just does mig? Unless a machine does a process well it is not worth having especially stick welding seeing as it is a basic fall back process on small jobs that can not or should not be done with mig. The only time I have used the tig function was to try it out, with it needing a different gas than mig it is not the best idea to have it on a mig machine. Also IMHO synergic function is only of any value if a person does not know how to setup a mig welder. I was not a weekend warrior before I retired last year . When I got the MTS I thought I could use it instead of having a suitcase wire feeder for field work. That did not work out well and I wound up purchasing a suitcase feeder anyway. I do like the way it mig welds but I never use synergic .

What is the approximate ETA (for sale) for these new machines?

That is an old machine now. Things are much different in technology. But we did not classify that welder you have for 6010.

I was looking into buying a lightning mts 275 but it only has pulse tig. Will any of the new machines be one with pulse mig and tig together?

Not in the forseeable near future. The 251Si has a manual, non synergic Pulse MIG, but it is dc only. I may have said yes in March, but anything like that we have had in the works has been delayed in favor of concentrating on other more in demand products, and closer to finish to be brought to market first during the covid interruption, and have been delayed.

Re: New Multi-Process? New TIGs? New MIGs?

Would really love to see a multiprocess machine that includes pulse for both mig and tig. More specifically double pulse mig on stainless steel as no other machine offers that except for some really high end ones.

I work primarily with thin gauge stainless steel (16 gauge 304ss) building custom exhaust systems. I flop between mig/tig a lot with a small amount of aluminum fab in between.

The MTS225 is close to a perfect package but needs to incorporate mig pulse as well. More specifically, the double pulse mig for stainless function would be amazing.

All of the multiprocess machines currently available do not offer a double pulse function for metals other than aluminum on mig. Having the double pulse function for mig stainless would be a game changer for me and an instant purchase!

    Its not in the works.

However, the Power i-MIG 253DPi is MIG/Stick with single and double pulse. Single pulse has been discussed but not currently in near future plans. Double pulse will likely be too much to add into the programming and memory of the machine with stick and AC/DC TIG features as well and keep it compact enough to make a reasonable size.
