I have used O-rings in a pinch and had them work well. Stick them in the groove with a touch of "hi tack" gasket cement.

I like that, I use trays like that too to keep stuff for each machine on hand. If I'm going to take the suitcase to the field all I have to do is grab that tray and go.

Looks to me like you went to a LOT of work to gather such a complete collection of fasteners that would NEVER be of any use near a sawmill.

I saw some 5lb cylinders on there for about $65 , think I'll just keep and eye out on craiglist for a really cheap one.

Re: How much weld time from 1lb of CO2 ?

I got about 15 minutes of good welding time out of this 1lb CO2 tank. Set regulator for 40psi, and ran at 20psi when welding. after about 18minutes the flow starts to drop off, the welds start to look greyish. At about 20 minutes the gas stops abruptly. I tried this on my snap on welder, but I think this will be a good addition to the lincoln mp210 accessories, it will even fit inside the machine with the wire spool. I don't think I got a full load in the 1lb.(maybe 14oz) tank so I think counting on 15 minutes is a safe bet. Will still keep my eye out for a slightly larger tank.

Re: How much weld time from 1lb of CO2 ?

I also use CO2 for tasks like tire pressure topoff and briefly running pneumatic blow guns. It will run pneumatic tools in a pinch. Instead of the fancy power tanks I have a 200psi fixed pressure Western gaugeless regulator with a brass pneumatic chuck. I use quality rubber air hoses (longer gives more room for CO2 to expand). Many off-roaders carry CO2 to fill tires after airing down for traction.

BTW I use MIG mix or argon (whatever cylinder is nearby) to pressure test car amd truck AC systems since vacuum isn't very good for finding leaks and the "nitrogen" regulators of course fit.
