I was watching that same exact video last night and marveling at the machining. Even though about the only word I understood was him saying "Yes!!" a few times as the bolt freely spun out I really liked it.

Neat for sure. Pretty worthless though for anything practical. The only way it works is with massive pitch. Reduce the pitch to useable and there would be no threads left. That is already weak. Normal pitches forget it.

I think a Yankee screwdriver has had threads going both ways for 50 years.

Lot more than five!!!! especially when they turn the power off on him... kinda like cali but remember.... he does get to play with his nuts a lot afterwards

Yes have seen those many times on fishing reels and other winch type reel setups they do have *special* nuts though
