    Lincoln vantage 300

Looking at a used one. I don’t weld a lot and when I do I wouldn’t turn it up to high . I would also use it if the electric goes out for backup.
My question is would it wet stack. I want a diesel.

possibly. just find a way to work it hard every once and a while. that will help keep wet stacking away.

Wet stacking is often from excessive idling and/or no load. It's bad for some engines but others isn't a problem. I'd do some searching on the type of engine in question or contact Lincoln if there's a problem using as a generator for extended periods.
