Hypertherm 45 plasma cutter torch lead rewiring.

Hi I have a hypertherm 45 plasma and was wondering if the torch lead can be shortened due to a small burn on it that burnt 2 wires in it? The burn is about 6 inches away from the torch head.

Just repair the wires. Cut the outer casing about 2" or so on both sides of the burnt spot repair the wires and tape it up with 3m electric tape. Or you can send it to me and I can shorten it for about $200 + shipping.

I would use scott #88 tape or care fully remove torch head and slide self sealing heat shrink tubeing after taping up any damaged wires. If you disassemble the torch handle, remove the consumables first. Pip switch can be damaged if left in place when handle is taken apart.
