Picked up this Add On Mig wire feeder. Heavy duty machine in good shape. The welder leads connect to the lead on this machine. Problem is that there is no identification on machine other than the wire feed motor is labeled Motor Data. Motor and controls for the wire feed seem to work fine, but My welder doesn't have the plug for the gas control. If you can help me identify who makes this I should be able to get manual and wiring diagram to redo gas flow controls. Any information would be appreciated
Take the Voltage that the sw on the gun is using (direct to the motor? or is there a relay between the sw & motor?) and buy a gas solenoid to match. Then, put that solenoid between the tank and the hose in the guns gas supply line
That's an idea that I may use if I don't get any information on wiring. It looks like the unit has a valve in the gas line, and I am hoping that a simple pressure switch attached to the gun will activate that switch. I need to find out the voltage for that valve, because I don't want to burn something up by using wrong current. Of course if I did, your way would work anyway. Thanks
That looks like "Linde" color green ? I would imagine the cover should have the schematic on the inside. What welder are you hooking it up to ?
Maybe you have an old" Linde Mig-35 Wire Feeder" Like this one ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Linde-Mig-3...75.c101224.m-1
I used to have a 200 lb spool gun that color, and it was a linde, now I kinda wish I saved it.... maybe not.
Best of luck

It's a Linde for sure and looks to be a Mig 35. Requires 115 volts input power. What machine are you hooking it up to? Esab bought the rights to the Linde machines and may have an adaptor. Here a manual that should provide some info.
