Howdy from New Mexico…

Hi all,

Mick here checking in from the mountains of New Mexico. I’m a retired guy looking to get into a new hobby, so I am giving welding a try. I welded some in my high school shop class many, many years ago, but never pursued it.

I am now taking a welding class at the local community college. So far we have done a bunch of Oxy/acetylene torch cutting of various metal pieces (Flat stock, square tube, angle iron and round pipe). We just started Oxy/acetylene welding this week.

I am looking forward to learning up on all the tricks and tips this forum has to offer!

I lived in Santa Fe a while back...left there in 2009 and I miss the climate and sunshine!
