    Insteresting combo ....

I just saw this on sale in my MSCDirect catalog. I wonder if there will be any warranty issues later on.

We got some of those hammers at work years ago, they used to say unbreakable. We were the ones that made them remove it... like 45 hammers later...

The first 2 lasted like 2 hours.

That is funny. I have been asking how vises get broken.

And the price reduction. Probably due to many returns...

The only thing missing is an emulsifier - I recommend 'dubious
    spent ordnance'
from a National Guard training range -

    True story . . .

If you have that much need for beating on stuff in a vise go find an old blacksmith's post vise. That exactly what they are made for....

They pop up on craigslist now and then. And if there is an active blacksmith club or state organization you might find one for sale and get a chance to look at others to see what to hunt for.

Depending on size I suspect you'll pay around $150-200 for a 4" or so vise to well over that for a big one. But the fact that they're still around after a century or more attests to how tough they are.
