If i was headed in mobile would get a truck. I hate messing with trailets to work from. Most of the problems here would be able to be solved. I dont see this as a real safety issue in the grand sense.
I do think this is way too small. I have and do work from a pickup but when i wad portable regular a heavy truck was the thing and in my case had other crane options.
Personally,,, from experience and having built several schemes would scrap sell and save, skip all that work first and set out shopping like an obsessed woman and find the right truck. DONT buy the first one you see, dont buy something to "save". Get something you can get to pass inspection, make weather tite, something to keep rogged so you grab lunch and go.
Get extra grinder so not tempted to constantly rob simple tools for shop.

Never understood the guys who drive 100K rigs and only have one, beat up grinder with a duct taped cord that has to be at just the angle to work.

Maybe it's less likely to go missing than the $300 18v li-ion brushless model.

I would WAY rather a $300 brushless grinder go missing than have the monthly $1,800 payments on that $100K truck.

BUT, then again, we just came back from a beach trip,,
I saw SO MANY guys doing lawn maintenance,, with BOTH the expensive truck, and expensive tools,,

I did a quick total on one truck, the guy had over $20K in STIHL equipment.
Among other things, he had SIX backpack leaf blowers,,

Why would two guys need six backpack blowers? Maybe the guys could run three at a time?
