    Prints to make a trebuchet...

Any one have made a full size trebuchet? I've always wanted to throw large objects far away.

I think you should hook something up to that 14" aerator line you were working on. They do some crazy stuff with those pumpkin cannons. What kind of pump/s are hooked up to that pipe, 100HP PD Blowers? 14" is an awful big pipe.

Most of the plans are probably use wood, so you may have to re-desigh a little. What do you want to throw, a Buick ?

    good luck

I have the weight that you can borrow if you want to throw a Buick,,,

I have had this dump trailer for over 20 years,, this weight is the first thing that put a dent in the bottom of the trailer,,

My daughter was the one that noticed the dent,,

I wonder how much hair spray it would take in a potato/pumpkin cannon to throw a Buick 100 yards. INCOMING!

I think that machine demonstrates the problem of having the boom made out of steel,,
the boom is so heavy that very little velocity can be achieved.

Also you can hear the squeaking,, the boom pivot needed lube of some sort to enhance the velocity.

So, as a minimum,, the boom, or at least part of it,, needs to be made out of a lighter material.
laminated wood beam, or aluminum,, something ,,,

Back in my misspent youth, I worked for a municipality where we had this truck that vacuumed up piles of leaves for hauling to the "stump dump."

The blower for the vacuum was driven by a Chevy 350. If there was a brick in the pile of leaves, and there were a few leaves under the brick, up the pipe it went!
