Has anyone ever had experience with the premier power welder? More exactly the control box. I am planning on building a dedicated trail rig and want an on-board welder on a diesel toyota build. Problem being I can't justify the cost of the premier power welder especially when you factor in the cost of a replacement alternator if I were to drown mine offroad. So that brings the question, what makes the premier welder different from other alternator based welders? They say it can be used for tig, mig, and stick which indicates the ability to go from cc to vc. It also has the ability to be run as your alternator so dose that mean that when welding you are running off of just battery in a total loss system? Since I am doing my wireing from scratch I figure if I can get a schematic of the internals I will just build my own while I run wireing.
