Question about argon purge

Getting ready to weld up my exhaust project. This is my first time using a purge with argon for stainless steel. Does the purge line have to be clean? I forgot the line I had planned to use has brake fluid in it. Trying to save a trip to town. Thanks in advance

I would clean it. Purple power or something similar would work. I wouldn't use acetone as it would most likely dissolve the hose. Gasoline would most likely work if all 5783 safety precautions are followed, Lol.

Most brake fluid is water soluble, rinse with warm water and blow dry.

Rinse with dishwashing detergent and blow out.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I ended up using an air hose adapted to flow meter with a short piece of vacuum line
