Can't go wrong with a Lincoln ln-25 or a miller vs12. If you can find a miller sp32-p12 that's also a very nice feeder. On that machine you could also use a remote control feeder but you would need a fairly$$ remote cable.

Another vote for the Lincoln LN-25’s. Used ones can be had quite reasonably and they are literally bulletproof

“Newish”ones can be had for under $1K usd

If your 44D is a CC (constant current) only machine, you might not get the results you might be looking for. A suitcase feeder will work with CC, but it runs much nicer on CV (constant voltage) On CC, larger wire, higher amperages and flux core wires are easier than hard wire.

That said, I also vouch for the LN-25's, I own 4 of them and one Miller Super S-32P, also a great feeder.

Thanks everyone. I spotted a Lincoln the other day, it was pretty slick.

I had a 400 D it had CC and CV, with my LN25 I'd runNR232 also NR211. The Nr211 is flux core and will run great on CC.
It seemed like a good idea at the time!
