    Hello, new guy here

Iím a new welder. Went to a tech school and got structural steel certs to improve my income and life. Itís been so beneficial. Anyway I really like welding and fabbing. Iím also a gear head. Someday Iíd like to own my own shop and I joined this forum to improve my general and technical welding knowledge. My favorite techniques are tig and mig and I currently work at a small fab shop where I spray transfer mig weld as well as cnc mill and torch cut occasionally. Been welding and metal working for a year and a half and working on cars on and off for 4-5 years.

Welcome to the forum! It's always better when you enjoy what you're doing. There is (or should be) a lot of pride in doing a good job in welding. Some have a good enough attitude. Be a true craftsman and take pride in all your work.

    Welcome, Racecar!

Seems like you're well on your way. Finding a career that you enjoy is half the battle, and from the sounds of it, you are there. Also glad to see you are building a variety of skills beyond welding that will help your long term goals. The folks here are great; I'm just a hobbiest/weekend bird-poo creator, but have learned so much here.

    Regards,
    Dave66
