Just think how many hours it took to drive 50,000 miles, or are they kilometers? 427 & no overdrive, it ain't Jessie Combs daily driver.

    Very nice!

50 thou is in miles. (USA model)

It has overdrive, but still... good point about engine hours.

I'm pretty happy about the purchase and got it way below current market value.

So one for the 3 spd standard, one to engage 4 wd, one for the overdrive and one for the power diff lock? Better be careful grabbing knobs in the middle of the night after a few brews...

Shift lever, overdrive lever, "OH $HIT!" (4x4) lever, High/low lever (might include neutral for pto or stiff hitch towing.

    Semantics?

Well put it this way, I’d reckon I can’t afford it.
    Or wouldn’t.

    My sentimentality would be a 1964 F250 four-wheel-drive
Like I had when I was a kid.

I’m waiting for the body on my 1995 F3 50 to rot out

Then I will go down south and buy a 1964 body and transplant it

    That’s my story at least.

    Well OK,
Don’t tickle my (our) azz with a feather any longer….

I would say that to Lis it's priceless. I like the idea of the '64 on the late frame. I would kinda like a '57-'59 Ford on a late frame. Had a '59 250 for awhile years ago, first year of factory Ford 4X4... I think. Turned out somebody else thought it was worth 3 times what I paid for it.

I still have my first tractor, a 1950 Farmall Cub I got at age 9, My first Jeep, a 1947 CJ2A I got at age 13, (though #2 son has "borrowed" it at present). I have a desire to own another Jaguar XKE roadster.
Unless I fall unexpectedly into vast wealth, I'll settle for a model. The 1968 I had in 1976 seemed too expensive to freshen up. It had a hard life before I bought it. Worst was some butcher had done a Cesarean on the transmission. Left the unibody tunnel weakened. I sold it & have regretted selling ever since.

In my opinion, it doesnt matter what the price was. If you can afford it and it makes you happy, who cares what others think or say. You only live once and you cant take it with you. Enjoy it.

Probably sold new for less than $3000. No argument, that was a very good price. A dollar went farther in the early sixties. You gonna drive it, or show it?

Thanks for the easy question Willie. Way too much time and money to get it anywhere near show quality.

That’s not my thing anyways so it’s a driver

Hmmm. I’m beginning to see a pattern concerning your “distractions”.

The plan today is to deal with these wimpy tailgate chains scratching the paint ...

A quick Google search shows aftermarket replacements from $100 a pair to NOS OEM for $500. Lol. That's not gonna happen.

    LOL.

I only posted that pic with the drain holes thinking someone would point out the fact that I overlooked it. Never thought the opposite would happen.
