This is something that is pretty cool, albeit overpriced. I never even knew it existed.

Dang. That's pretty nice. As for the base, I think putting that on top of a hydraulic lift cart would make pretty much the ideal welding table if you were looking for something that was movable and multi-function. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...6310_200696310

Those hydraulic lift carts are way too precious to be sacrificed for a welding table in my life, but I agree with a certiflat style top it would be near ideal!

I like this idea, definitely come in handy, especially for around the shop. Not sure how it would be for traveling though.
Remove the top and replace it with a fab block and you have a pretty capable table that can carry a load.
In most cases the handle could be removed and casters can be locked.

Yes I made it. I wish I could say I was smart but the design was probably dictated by the availability of angle iron I had on hand

Okay this table was getting a little embarrassing to look at.

One leg wasn’t perpendicular, the top wasn’t square and had a few torched holes. Also it wasn’t flat because it was a section of scrap from a round water tank. Various weldments from juvenile “fixtures” rounded out the amateur farmshop vibe.

First off the top got a trim (now 20”x28”)







A kerf was cut and filled with a hot 7018 pass to take the bow out..





Perimeter underside framed with 1”x1”x3/16” angle …

Hmmm... 1 year BEFORE I was born.... and I am old... I think I am around 56 this year of 2022... I quit counting around 49... to depressing as to how fast life goes by..

Those are nice but my fave is that folding green one but I can do without the holes. I wanna use the same clamps I am carrying in the bucket.

That welding saw horse would be handy. No way you could build it yourself (easily) and keep it as lightweight though.

Portable welding table makeover Day 2

The holes in the top were filled and legs squared up somewhat.

2"square receiver stock drilled and tapped three sides 5/16"NC

Makeover Day 3 and 4, buts who's counting.

2" square hole cut in top, square tube stub welded in place for vertical receiver.

What I deemed a usable pattern of 5/8"d holes drilled in top.

Cable hangers and rack for clamps added.





I'll leave it for now. Still needs cleanup and anything else that occurs to me.

Could you add some casters pointing backwards on the two back legs that are just above the floor? That way you only have to lift up the leg with one side to roll it around.
You could also just drill the holes and have the casters removable.

Good option which I may do, Pat.

atm I am thinking of using this axle setup to raise the table height an inch or two ( presently 35") which would also provide a more stable base. Either way I would add a fold up handle on the other end for lifting and steering.

Bottom tray is going to need some drain holes if it's going back outside. I need to park a bunch of my stuff outside your shop door until it "bothers" you...
