Thanks, now time for the fine detail work to finish off between main roof and side wings.

Can a Lincoln 210MP run a 6022 rod?

A long time ago I used 6022 to weld down decking in a building, It was 16 gauge welded down to I beam joists, Using 5/32" rod I was running the same settings I used to weld pipe with 5/32" 6010. Probably 160-170 amps (SA 200 Lincoln) Blow a hole in the deck and fill your way back out. Best I can remember.

You're supposed to use electrode -neg. when puddle welding roof decking.

I already know the welding machine can't run 6010, not high enough voltage in it, so I guess 6022 is out of the question. Funny it's the reason I was asking about 6022 rod is having a option to weld decking to the wall of my pole barn. I have stack of B deck panels and the option is drill self tapping screws or weld.

We were, I forgot about polarity. It has been almost 30 years. Wow...

Putting the gravel in for the radon system and the slab, yes that's my dump truck too, squeezed it right in on up in there.

Is radon gas a big issue in your area? I've never had a problem with it here...

Yes and no one including in the city is doing anything about it, like it’s a myth out here. I’m in Custer county on that map. Bought the test kit and what they require to be able to test for it is impossible unless the structure is already built.

Re: Operation: Pole barn/shop
Radon is just a noble gas. Can burn car. Maybe fill balloon 🎈.
What industry uses a lot of noble gas.

Amazing what you can do with right equipment by yourself.

I went ahead and subscribed you 'ya on YouTube. I think it you get over 1,000 subscribers you can monetize your channel.... something like that. I dunno. Might wanna try for it. Ya never know what might might "blow up" on YouTube.
Edit: One of my relatives neighbors makes crap out of metal in his garage (key chains, and that sorta thing...) and sells them at craft shows. He started recording making them and putting it on YouTube and now he's getting money from YouTube, too!
Once I finish building this shop, I'll probably start a channel. Right now it's too dang crowded. I'd have to wear a GoPro camera on my head on something. No joke, I had to walk OUTSIDE to find a dust-free area to rebuild a carburetor not too long ago... Getting pretty nasty. One of my friends wants to make a knife, so I reckon that's the finally push I need to un-clusterfucq my workshop.

As much as I appreciate that, not looking to go towards monetizing the channel. If it happens it happens, I'm just hoping to give inspiration and hope to those who decide to embark the same path as I have and to show the world it's still possible to do what I do if you have the knowledge and grit to make it so. Question they need to ask themselves, how far are they willing to go and sacrifice to enjoy the journey of life they seek and that's it's not a destination.

Re: Operation: Pole barn/shop
Last i heard monetization is available at 10k subs. Could be 1k now though and I have no idea.
Edit:

Oh it's a lot easier now hence all the garbage fishing channels on the Delta :/ not saying I'd be any better or add anything of value and substance for fishing techniques but one never knows just what others value. T ac ke the short vid of the rat i recorded. That thing blew up over night with something like 20k views then just as quickly poof dead on the water and no more views. You definitely have to be on the good side of google and big tech to get the views to bring in any kind of decent monetary gains to be worth the efforts involved in providing good content. I don't exactly fall into the favored croud either politically or otherwise. Can't say I have not thought about it or had others suggest I do it but yeah. Youtube can be a fill time job itself and there is a learning curve and software required for making good edited videos. Some people are just a natural and can record in one take and post with out edits. All depends on what you want in the cpntent to like affiliated links, links to other vids etc. Oh anyway Weldman dlready expressed no interedt so I'll clam up now

Nope no intent to give Google/YouTube my hard earned time so they can eat the cake and I get the toilet paper they wiped their arse on after schitting the cake out.
