Miller blue star 2e quit welding

i have a miller blue star 2e welder, S# JB504940, I was welding with a 7018, I stopped to increase the amps and I accidentally switched the welding switch to the ac power, tried welding and didn’t weld. Checked the welder and switched back to welding and still didn’t weld. It just sparks very little. What could be the problem?

Have you checked to make sure the switch works? If it's working then check the rheostat winding for burned wires.
