Is a float gauge supposed to leak down after closing valve?

I just noticed this tonight, gauge is losing pressure fast after valve is closed, I checked for leaks found the threads on the gauge where leaking. So I removed the gauge and wrapped tape around it, checked again, no leak there anymore. Opened tank again, I see the gauge descending again, sprayed again and see bubble coming from a vent hole at the bottom of the unit, is this normal bleed off or is this unit fubar ?

Float gage? I reckon that's auto-correct for flow gage?

Check and see if the gas your loosing is coming out the torch. May be that solenoid not closing fully sealed.

The regulator itself should not be bleeding out anything. Diaphragm may be dry rotted or otherwise passing gas.

Things do tend to start passing gas in inappropriate areas as they age.
