    Hello from Germany!

Hello to all, my name is Christoph, 46 years old, living in Rhineland Palatinate in Southern Germany.
I started welding some weeks ago with a relatively cheap inverter welder. Last year my wife and me moved to an old farmhouse and i found a lot of old metal scrap, broken machines and so on, that was the starter. I really like metal, I built a few model steam engines with a low budget lathe and with the help of some files years ago, then interests changed. The last month I was working on a propane forge and I realized that learning some stick welding might be a good idea, so here I am .
At the moment I am on my way from "hotglueing" to real welding. Kind of tough, because I know not a single welder personally among friends or family, ... I am very glad, that I have found this informative community, some day I will try to help others, now I am a student, eager to learn. I attached a picture of my finished Forge, almost 100% up-cycling from scrap and probably the ugliest one ever build! At least it is working.

This is not really welding related, but hey, it is hot and there is fire.
    Thank you for your welcome!
