Hobart IronMan Dual Sheild
I picked up a spool of 0.035" ESAB 7100 dual shield to play with in my IronMan 230. Does anyone have the setting's they like to run in these tapped machines with dual shield?

I cant specifically say with that machine, but I like 600 IPM and 27 volts with .035 dual shield running straight Co2.

Re: Hobart IronMan Dual Sheild
I tried to look up the spec sheet for the wire and the ESAB hits were dead ends. Is that an aberration or is that wire discontinued?
I did find the sheet here: https://tweld.com.au/wp-content/uplo...et_Main-01.pdf
It includes recommended parameters for the wire but as usual, they would be just a starting point with your welder.

Re: Hobart IronMan Dual Sheild
That wire will run in a range of 250-750 inches per minute and 24-29 volts. I would pick a wire speed at the low end of the range (say 300 to 400-ish), which should be about 50-60% on the wire feed speed dial, and I would start with voltage tap 10. That should give you about 24 volts (according to the chart in your owners manual). Then adjust the voltage tap or wire feed speed up or down based on how its welding. You want to end up at roughly about 400 IPM, 25 volts and 140 amps
