    Tractor diesel fuel tank build

My Massey Ferguson fuel tank has corroded beyond repair and they want $1800 for a new one. That's not happening so I'm looking at making another one.
Cardboard mockup first for fit but I was wondering if you all think brazed joints would be adequate for this. No pressure or vacuum on it but I haven't done it before either. My skills with stick welding aren't far enough along to do this while brazing is. Thanks to all for ideas and input!

If it is just the bottom that is bad could you cut it out and braze in a new bottom?
Might be a lot less work...or not!

If you feel that your skill is adequate with brazing it would be more than fine for this particular project. My suggestion is you bend as much of the build as you can so that you have less joints Left for brazing and also less areas where you can develop a leak.

Torch weld a little to tack up and have someone wire feed it. Brazing is ok most of the time,,, but I tend to think fix first if I could. I have put bottoms in tanks, just did the top of one where crap sitting on rusted thru, bottom was like new.

What model of Massey? Too old to be popular at the wreckers? If you could find a decent used one, I'm wondering if a product like POR 15 wouldn't be better than trying to build a new tank?
