    I can slide the wire back and forth through the entire gun. I am going to get a replacement liner and try that. The problem is worse if the gun isn’t straight. I have no tension on the spool. This isn’t a complicated system it shouldn’t be hard to figure it out

    It's not complicated Your rolls aren't clamping the wire. So either you have the wrong size wire (measure it with some calipers), wrong rolls, or worn out rolls.

    Usually the problem ISNT too little clamping force on the wire, it's usually too much. Its dead easy to clamp solid steel wire with V rolls of the right size.
