This is an old panasonic design torch. It is a high frequency torch. They never made any shielded or specific drag consumables with it. However, you can drag cut up to 30 amps with the stock ones.
Are there consumables available to convert this torch to a drag tip ( to use with templates) and if so will this harm the welder?

Is there an alternate torch that I can use that has drag tip capability that will not damage my welder?
Not that I know of. It won't damage your welder, just wear out your consumables a lot faster, unless you literally weld it to the metal and keep trying to cut.
