Hey guys I’m a supper noob. I am completely self taught. 2 years ago I bought a 235. It’s been absolutely flawless until today. It suddenly acts like the ground is not connected. I’m MIG welding. Even if I go straight to the ground cable it just feeds wire but doesn’t start. I checked my contacts and tried again. The wire stuck to the ground clamp and I heard a little sizzle/pop inside the machine. Anyone have any idea what’s going on? I’m guessing something failed internally.

Remove the ground connection inside the machine, clean and tighten. Remove the ground clamp to cable connection and then tighten. Then try again to weld.

If so have you tried to do a factory reset in the settings menu?
Lincoln, ESAB, Thermal Dynamics, Victor, Miller, Dewalt, Makita, Kalamzoo. Hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting tools.
