    new sync plasma

Just an FYI for anybody buying one of these new plasmas that just went on sale.
If they fail make sure to send in with the plasma unit both a new consumable cartridge and most important send in the cartridge that was on the plasma when it acted up or failed. There is stored information on the cartridge about how the plasma was used when it failed. with out it the service shop might be guessing why you system failed. The new cartridge is so you don't have to buy a new one from the service shop and they have a good one to test the plasma with.
Just completed My online training on these units, so this is something I saw that was important. Hypertherm's claim is the new precision assembled cartridge will get you approximately twice the cut life than the same 5 piece assembly in the older units. Plus the information stored in the plasma and the cartridge can be used for trouble shooting different problems.

Good morning ccawgc, thanks for posting the information above. Have you had the opportunity to use one of the new SYNC systems yet?

    Re: new sync plasma

none have come in yet. only seen them on video training so I can work on them.
During the training is when I came to the conclusion I need the cap that was on the plasma when it failed. So I can get the error codes stored on it. IF I can't power up the plasma and read them that way. hopefully make a better fix. Right now nobody but Hypertherm is fixing them. If we get one, we have to call Hypertherm first before testing them, till Mid April.
