Weight distibuting hitches

Does anyone here use an Anderson weight distributing hitch and what are you thoughts on it?

There is a guy on one of the RAM forums that transports AIRSTREAM TRAILERS and boats over the road, he uses Andersom hitches, both WD and fiver hitches, he has NOTHING bad to say about them. He uses a RAM 1500 diesel and has gobs of miles towing with it, something like 700,000 miles on the truck.

As far as that particular system is concerned it seems to be a well engineered solution that takes much of the complexity out of the weight distributing hitch. That being said the camper and RV industry seems to have brainwashed everyone into thinking you need a weight distributing hitch. If you have a big enough truck for the job and load the weight properly there really shouldn't be a need for a weight distributing hitch. You never see anyone hauling tractors, bobcats, or dump trailer with weight distributing hitches. All of which weigh more than most campers.
