Gas shielded flux core wire choices for Argon/Co2 75-25 in .045

I have been using Kiswel E71T-M from Amazon. Comes in 10 lb rolls and is about $3.50/lb vs over $7/lb for the Lincoln wire from LWS.

So far so good as long as I keep the gas CFH high enough, and stickout correct. But I haven't tried any other dual shield wire so I have nothing the compare it to.

I get confused at the sea of numbers. Is this actually gas shielded? Or is it non shielded flux core?

The Kiswel I've been using does require gas. I use it with 75/25.

It is Dual shield. Gas shielded flux cored wire. Even says it right on the spool. I use Lincoln 71A75 - 1/16" W/100% CO2. I also use Lincoln 1/16" - 232 and 233 Inner shield Flux core.

The class of wire that you should look for is E70T-1, E71T-1, usually. Those are gas-shielded flux core wires. Gasless flux core wires are usually E71T-GS or E71T-11

The class of wire that you should look for is E70T-1, E71T-1, for 70ksi wires for the basic type. Those are gas-shielded flux core wires. Gasless flux core wires are usually E71T-GS or E71T-11.

Not all FCAW-G are 70ksi rated nor of the same family/class, however. There are others, which will start with an "E" can then be cross referenced

It was always to pricey for me.
But when I was in shops that used only Lincoln you could smell the difference.
