    lincoln 305g problem

i recently aquired a lincoln 305g welder which runs fine, generates 110 and 220 power but wont weld. i understand the control board is prone to failure on this machine and would appreciate any help on proving if this is the problem as replacement boards are very expensive. thanks

Check for any loose or bad conections, test the bridge rectifier and capacitor, call Lincoln tech support.
