Total welding n00b in AZ

My name is Don and i live in the greater Phoenix area. I'm 58 yrs old. I just purchased my first welder a couple of weeks ago and am in the process of setting up a little area in my garage to start learning how to weld. After some online research, I decided to take a chance on the Harbor Freight Vulcan OmniPro 220. I wanted something fairly inexpensive that would allow me to try different processes. I opted for the 2yr warranty just in case mine is not as good as most of the reviews claim. I'm looking forward to sharing my learning experiences as I go. I'm sure I will have many, many questions.
