    I did use a chop saw in my shop.
    I used them but just to big cut compared to a bandsaw.

    I would setup a 4x6 saw close to welder or other types of work and just have employee run saw as they welded, grind or drill.
    No time loss with saw to cut and save materials from sawing.

    I still use today in my shop working by myself.
